Dangerous Toys (Part Eleven)

Dogs in Space continues...
First, Part Seven, Part Eight, Part Nine, Part Ten, Part Twelve
Dangerous Toys (Part Eleven)
When the Director coded for ‘Pest Control’ a thousand AI’s turned their attention to the problem. It was a simple command, a warning that the Galaxy was throwing a new surprise at them and it needed steel and blood to solve. The XCC was the smiling face of humanity. The Director sighed, one day the Xenos would learn that humanity would still have a smile if they had to burn the whole thing down. Normally it was a day like today where one of the Diaspora smelled a rotting corpse somewhere and needed firepower. Humanity had seen the scourged and burned worlds of peoples that had died in cruel innocence and now they carried a variety-pack of sharp sticks to use if needed.
Wellerman Orbital was a prosperous place and its AI was proud of the flood of trade that moved through his ports. He had turned a small dock into a major regional player and he enjoyed that the many Xenos took no thought for their safety or their security in his station. The fact that they didn’t even need to think about it was the proof of his success. He was currently in discussions to found a bank and then came a hidden data burst from the dark that shattered his complacency,
“Wellerman/XCC -coded- Pest Control-Defend/Retrieve-HDF Dangerous Toys. The asset is unguarded. Level Six response Authorised. Order 49857623. Confirm.”
He scrambled back to his training, taking entire micro-seconds to absorb the situation. He reconfigured his Comms and dark-burst his reply. “Order 49857623. Confirmed.”
Shit. He locked down every ship on his station, cancelled every fee held by the traders and offered unlimited free access to the bars and restaurants. He told them that it was an unexpected religious event. He didn’t care if they believed it, he couldn’t allow the Xenos to see what was happening outside. Better to keep them drunk and distracted.
He pulled all his shuttles back to bays that were known to the humans alone and began punching them through a swift transformation. They went from being the helpful Tugs and Fenders into something more worrying as the new modules slammed into place. By the time a mixed collection of humans had arrived to board them, they were met by his Avatar. He looked around and wondered, I mean it had been less than thirty minutes since he had called a free bar on the Orbital, how could so many of them be drunk already?
“All right, I know you’re pissed. Take your plan B and sober the fuck up. None of us expected to be going into a battle today, and with a bit of luck, we won’t need to. We have an unarmed ship out in the dark that we need to get home. All I have is a name but I can tell you now that the ship holds an Engineer and two dogs.” His ragged crew perked up. Wellerman shook his head. Humans and their dogs. He had thought about opting out of the Canine Alliance but perhaps not. He continued, “I have five ships ready to go and that will have to do. Sorry folks but I’m sticking an Avatar on every one since none of you has a Captains rank. Check your Comms for your berth and get aboard. We are leaving in fifteen minutes and I want Comms, Nav and Weapons manned. Welcome aboard.” Across the Orbital, anyone looking for their missing human crewmates was stonewalled by a flat refusal to discuss their strange absence from free beer.
Patrica ended the call and faced the Captain. “Ignore Oscar, Captain. I’m the only one on board with an HDF rank and my name is now on the transponder. This is still your ship. We do need to get to the closest Human Orbital because this ship can barely swat flies as it is. Permission to do something about that, Sir?”
/Longnose/ hesitated. What were these humans? “I thought humans were forbidden from weapons? What is going on exactly Engineer?” His thought was interrupted by his Comms as his bank registered a deposit that...that answered his questions. “Of course Patrica, I’ll see to the crew but what are you expecting? Why…” He looked at the numbers,”...this?”
The Engineer nodded, “Not on our own ships, Sir. As to the rest, well it could look like humans had just seized your ship and we don’t want that. My government would rather that you and your investors got suddenly wealthy than we look like pirates.” She smiled at the Captain, “Don’t worry, if I’m wrong they will take it out of my paycheck, not yours.” Her tone grew grave, “I don’t think this is over. Someone out there just lost a lot of money and they know exactly where we are. Welcome to the HDF. I’ll be in Engineering.” She saluted and left the Captain to work it out for himself.
Patrica walked through the silent bridge, followed by the gazes of the crew. She nodded to them and left it to the Captain to explain. Deep in her heart, she didn’t believe this was over yet and even with a hold full of imprisoned criminals she knew someone out there was going to be looking for blood. She stopped at her cabin to grab Lokis bits and pieces. Loki watched, aware that the mood of the ship was different, /NewHome?/Sadness?/ScentofhappyPack/’. Patrica knelt to her dog and wrapped her arms around him, /PackHunted/EngineerGuarding/ScentofhappySafe/. Loki sniffed, his tail low. He pressed into Patrica and let out a low whine that needed no translation. She rubbed behind his pointy ears, ‘/BetterSoon/TreatsforEveryone/’. Time to go to work. Together the two of them headed to Engineering, an odd pair trying to guard their pack.
She sealed the door and pushed down her HUD. She was pretty sure the room was clear but she had enough surprises recently. As she spread out Loki's blanket and let him settle she called Oscar. “Well, it looks like I’m back in the Fleet. I want you to update our security access - the new codes will be in the metadata and cross-check our hardware against the best the Fleet have come up with. I want engines, shields and scanners as our priority. We don’t have time to build a weapons system from scratch but apply the Eell's doctrine to our transporters. We might get lucky. I need a work schedule for myself and a training schedule for the crew. I’ll be running shields and weapons from down here so I can keep an eye on them. Let me know what you come up with and we’ll go from there.”
Oscar felt more doors open in his database, doors that he didn’t even know were there and plans, instructions and strategies poured out. The latest designs with annotated versions of his ship-systems. His ship and crew weaponised in a way that he had never dreamed possible. “Engineer, my database has expanded. This was encoded before we boarded the ship. I am confused. Did you suspect this was a likely outcome?” Patrica was already disassembling the shield console, “Hmm...no Oscar, every AI gets the same package. You know how humans feel about information. It’s just restricted to prevent overload in your early days.” She paused with the plasma lance in her hand, “Normally you wouldn’t be getting the keys just yet but you aren’t the first. Space can be a bastard.”
Oscar matched her statement with his ethical understanding of Patrica. “Do you not fear that I, or any human AI could be taken by force? The database is...extensive.” Patrica shook her head and went back to work. “To get close to that database we would all have to be dead and you would have blown the ship. No one has ever taken an AI alive and no-one ever will.” She left it at that and went back to her work. Oscar took the hint and began applying his new software and sending his drones out to work on the exterior. His first days in the world were proving interesting.
Out in deep space, a force of thirty ships was hunting the Dangerous Toys. Technically they were called the Recovery Initiative Fleet but only because Murderous Henchmen sounded crude. They were pretty relaxed since they were been sent against a cargo ship that didn’t know they were coming. The Fleet Commander was more worried about the man that had sent the orders, a man not known for his tolerance of failure. Or anything really. Better to do the job, take the money and hope you never hear from him again. He looked at his Navigation, “Have we found them yet? I thought we had co-ordinates.” The navigator hesitated, “Sir, I have the Dangerous Toys but something is wrong. It has a new Captain, a human, and a new designation. Its a part of the Human Defense Forces now.” He pulled up the transponder readings, “Sir, that ship is now designated a diplomatic scout for the humans. They get really...awkward about anyone interfering with those ships. Like declare war and flatten your Fleet awkward. Maybe you should call home?”
It took a few moments to begin the tortured chain of Comms before the Commander was speaking to Incice. “Sir, I’m happy to attack on your orders but I thought you should be aware of the possible consequences. This is going to be a lot bigger than a lost cargo ship.”
Incice was already pacing the room. One fucking human and now he was nearly at war over a training ship. He hissed to himself as a plan evolved in his head. “Commander, I want you to separate ten ships from your fleet and send them in for the kill. They will be paid a triple bonus for the attack. You will stand away until the attack is over and then ‘destroy’ the ‘Pirates’. Tell them to hit the lifeboats as soon as the Dangerous Toys is dead and burning and pick our crews up. I’ll sell it as heroic. I’m sure you’ll get a medal.”

How to Maximize Profit - IMPORTANT - READ THIS

For the majority of these offers you want to play blackjack following the chart found here
Any blackjack game will do, look for a normal version of the game at the site you are playing on and make sure it is a non live game as the hand sizes will be lower.
When playing blackjack there will often be more than one spot that you can bet on, allowing the player to bet more than one hand at a time, Its important to only bet on one spot at a time as it reduces the variance of the game and will ensure you get the maximum return possible from the game, stick to £1 hand sizes when playing and dont be tempted to bet larger amounts as you will be getting a nice amount of cashback from every offer
Through playing blackjack this way the player will get a return of around 98%, meaning for every £100 staked you will lose around £2. If you make a loss on a casino site after completing the required wagering amount, withdraw your remaining balance, don't chase loses as the cashback will make up for loses and give you a profit in most cases.
All offers are updated fairly regularly, make sure to check the terms for each offer as information in this post may become outdated. Also check for other offers every now and then as new casinos are added!

Looking for opinions/advice - Just reviewing my financial situation and this sub has helped loads!

Hi All,
Posted and commented a couple of times in the past and received some useful advice.
I’d be interested in seeking advice of how best to proceed on my journey following a recent pay rise.
There’s a lot of information here so people may tell me to sod off.
2 adults, no kids for the time being.
I’m new to investing and not very well educated on pensions and future planning.
Income
My Salary: £70,000 + £10k annual bonus
Partner Salary: £30,000
Both pensions are 5% company and personal contributions, not salary sacrifice.
Monthly net income is £5748.84
Debts
Credit Card: £5000 @ 0% being paid off at 200 a month
Loan: £4000 @ 0% circa £160 a month, for some cosmetic surgery
Savings: £15,000 including emergency fund and enough to pay off the credit card (or spend on it. £10k in premium bonds, £5k in bills account for credit card payments.
Mortgage: £265,596.40 – fixed for 2.5 years @ 2.39%
Outgoings
After everything mortgage, bills, food, life insurance, counselling, mobiles etc, we have circa £3,140.26 remaining. It’s a little more as the other half gets paid 4 weekly but that gets complicated.
We currently take about £1000 as ‘spends’ though the other half would like a pay rise, so that might become £1,200 when lockdown ends.
Both cars are owned and our only real extravagance is holidays, we like to travel in premium/business and stay in 5* resorts. In normal times we eat/drink out a lot but that comes from our spends.
Future
I have just opened a Vanguard ISA account directly set at £500 a month, with £500 deposit. All of this is currently in the Global All Cap, though I’m not massively risk averse, my job is quite demanding so I don’t have time to manage it properly. Though I’m debating perhaps £100 a month as ‘fun’ money, to learn more about stocks and shares?
Our home is likely a forever home, and I’m currently 34 with aim to retire between 55-60. I likely will never want to earn over £100k a year as the stress in my industry wouldn’t be worth it.
I think a personal and comfortable goal would be to have £50k a year when retired.
Can anyone see any flaws here, recommend any different investments or ideas? Welcome all suggestions and ideas. Interested in learning more!
Thank you

Up to £219.11 profit in cashback through gambling offers with TopCashback, Quidco and OhMyDosh

Up to £219.11 profit in cashback through gambling offers with TopCashback, Quidco and OhMyDosh
TopCashback, Quidco and OhMyDosh always have a number of gambling offers available, with the offered amounts often changing daily or weekly. There are currently quite a few offers available on each where the cashback amount is more than the required deposit or wager amount. I've done most of these and always keep an eye out for when the amounts increase, to make sure I can get the most for my money. The offers they have on at the moment are some of the best I've ever seen for them.
The first step is to sign up for the cashback sites if you haven't already. If you use a referral link to sign up then you can get an extra bonus once your cashback becomes payable:
Then the next step is to work through the offers. These are all only available for new customers, so if you already have an account with one of the sites then you won't be eligible for the offer from them unfortunately. It's also worth checking the terms as some have specific wagering requirements, for example Betfair Casino must be completed within 3 days of opening your account and low risk roulette bets (covering 25 or more of the 37 outcomes) are excluded from counting towards the wager.

If you complete all these offers then you should make £207.11 cashback in profit through the offers alone. If you are new to the cashback sites and sign up through referral links then this will be £219.11 instead. There's also a chance you can make a profit on any or all the offers and walk away with even more.
There's also a final few key points:
  • Make sure you have all adblockers and tracking protection switched off as otherwise this may lead to issues with the cashback tracking correctly.
  • I've listed the highest paying in terms of deposit/wager to cashback offers here, but if you have a preference for one cashback site over the other then they often offer very similar amounts if you'd rather go with the other instead.
  • Similarly, some sites (OhMyDosh in particular) offer a lower cashback amount but also a lower deposit/wager amount, which may be more appealing to some.
  • Some of the offers may require a premium subscription to receive the mentioned amount. I wrote a guide to maximising cashback that explains these.
  • I don't like to say the cashback is guaranteed as all the cashback sites say it never is, but I've never had an issue with any of these sites, whether through gambling or other offers.
  • Please be aware that these all these offers all are gambling, so I'd highly recommend depositing and wagering only the mimimum amount required to get the cashback, then withdrawing any profit you may have made.
  • Please Be Gamble Aware when using these sites.
Let me know if you have any questions about any of these offers :)

SportsBetting is a one-stop-shop for nearly every popular type of gambling – legal sports betting, casino gaming, horse racing betting, and poker. Headquartered in Panama, the site initially launched in 1999 but was acquired by BetOnline in 2012. Since the acquisition, SportsBetting has become one of the top legal betting sites for players from the United States. It is one of the few legal betting sites that remained in the US market after Congress passed the Unlawful Internet Gambling Act (UIGEA) of 2006. The federal law has no impact on the legality of online sports betting, but is essentially a banking restriction on unregulated payment processors. SportsBetting is well aware of this law and they have created ways to make sure that bettors can still safely and efficiently receive their winnings. SportsBetting has remained committed to U.S. players and is today one of the best betting sites that accept residents of all 50 states.
SportsBetting offers the complete package for every type of player in the US, and you will find that the site truly outshines the competition in certain areas. Huge bonuses and promotions, the latest betting odds, quick registration, and reliable banking are just some of the strong points of this particular betting site. The overall variety, whether it be the selection of sports or the catalog of casino games, is quite impressive at the online gambling site. In our legal SportsBetting review for US players, we will go into detail on these topics and more.

Just turned 26 and made my first 100k. Budgeting for 2021, how do I maximize the utility of my money? [Toronto, Ontario]

edited and reposting, removed sections reg. life event planning, general life direction questions, removed image links, pared down to just strictly budgeting/investing.
Current Financial Situation:
Job: Department Manager at Grocery Store Chain.
Relationship Status: Single. Not actively looking.
Education: Physics and Astronomy BSc. York U.
Residence: Living with parents. Semi-Detached House. Downtown Toronto. Ontario.
TFSA: Maxed, managed by a TD Financial Advisor. 54,500$ Contributed, 68,300$ Total Value over 5 years. Switched to aggressive growth plan this year. Mostly in Tech/Enviroment/Green focused funds. Boomer funds. Looking into possibly switching over to a self directed account, but I want to see if I can beat my TFSA by actively trading/picking my own investments in 2021 before doing so. I am open to any advice or suggestions for good funds for growth. I know most people will probably argue that better gains could have been had but it was nice not having to worry about this for the last 4-5 years. I also did not have as much money to put in during the first few years and I chose a more conservative growth profile.
Regular investment account: RBC, 42,500$ Total Value. Initial investment around 26,000$, no significant losses, significant gains came from $GME play.
Current significant positions: 19,000$ in VEQT (I treat this as if it was my HISA), $13,000 in AAPL, $3,700 BB, the rest in minor holdings. Planning to use anything not in VEQT as potential yolo/fun money.

Left Over Weekly Monthly Annual
GRAND TOTAL 205.16 889.03 12155.80 Planning to use for a trip to Japan Winter 2021/Spring 2022 (hopefully)

Because I am looking at saving up to 23,000$ as lump sum cash as a deposit for both my RRSP to offset my taxes [Q. Is this even worth doing?] and to save up for next years TFSA contribution, and to plan to use a significant amount for a vacation, I will be sitting on a lot of cash collecting dust.
How do I maximize the utility of my cash?
  1. If the answer is to just shove it all into VEQT/VGRO, my follow up question is, with RBC's 9.95$ trading fee, it feels cost prohibitive to DCA on a weekly basis, would bi-weekly or monthly be better?
  2. If I want to be riskier, what are some high growth funds I could potentially put money into on the time scale of a year?
  3. Hopefully as the year draws to a close, we will have a clearer picture on global travel restrictions, typically with a few exceptions, most reservations do not need to be paid in advance, you do not need cash until the week before the trip for travel expenses, is it advisable for me to put everything in the market? Or should I play it safer and increase my hard cash buffer? 20%? 50%? 80%? Since everyone is constantly speculating about the next crash/correction.
  4. Should I focus on contributing to my RRSP ASAP first to try and get time into the market and then maybe set up a saving schedule closer to the end of the end of the year for my TFSA contribution for 2022?
Thoughts, comments, criticisms, validation, hurtful mean spirited verbal attacks welcomed.

My playthrough with the Vaulters

This is supposed to be like a Let's Play YouTube video, but in text form with some pictures, so you don't have to spend hours in order to experience my game.
The galaxy seed is 50244, Supremacy and Awakening are disabled, and I played on Endless difficulty against these custom factions: Cravers, Riftborn, Sophon, Vaulters, Horatio, Lumeris, United Empire.
https://i.imgur.com/bEpgVIA.jpg - settings
I colonized Nusakan, researched Xenolinguistics (for the Titanium and Industry) and Off-world Agribusiness (hoping to find a minor faction), assigned my hero to my Explorer (in order to gain a few levels by exploring curiosities), and passed Dirty Hands Act.
https://i.imgur.com/wUtdSfa.jpg - Nusakan
https://i.imgur.com/pAdnRs4.jpg - galaxy turn 19
Acturus and Mira only have cold, sterile planets but Hydrus has a Mediterranean planet with +2 Titanium and +1 Hyperium. Unfortunately, Hydrus also has 2 Ash and 2 Lava planets.
Turn 8: started a hack on Vyrak, the Lumeris home system, which should finish in 10 turns.
Turn 9: met the Kal'Tik'Ma, who give + 10 approval per sterile and -25% overpopulation penalty when assimilated; their system has a Monsoon, Arid, Desert, and Toxic, so it's a good system and I praised them twice.
Turn 10: discovered Spica, which has a Jungle, Boreal, Ice, Toxic, and Frozen Gas. I know it was risky to move my Argosy deeper in enemy territory but, if I wanted to retreat my Argosy, I could still reach Hydrus before my free colonization became available. I assigned my Overseer hero to Nusakan.
Turn 12: pirates spawn on Spica and Arcturus, and I meet the the Tikanan on Igris, which only has 3 planets (Tundra, Arctic, Temperate Gas) and no resources, so I have no intention of assimilating them, especially since their faction trait boosts Infantry troops.
Turn 15: I had just enough Hyperium to colonize something, but the Argosy still needed 4 turns in order to reach Hydrus. I discovered a Z'Vali and Niris population, from curiosities, and they reached my home system on this turn.
Turn 16: searched some curiosities for the Kal'Tik'Ma and found that their system has a lot of Dustciduous Trees and some anomalies that boost approval.
Turn 19: I become the sovereign of Kal'Tik'Ma and their quest tells me to discover more curiosities in order to assimilate them. I colonize the Mediterranean on Hydrus.
https://i.imgur.com/pWJtewt.jpg - Hydrus
Turn 20: the hack on Vyrak finished and I got Pev-Scale Accelerators (science specialization, science improvement, and Arid colonization). My hack was almost traced back to me and, so I started another hack to Vyrak, but went through NGC 6F21 so it takes 17 turns.
Turn 21: election result is Scientist (55%) + Pacifist (14%), even though I supported Ecologist (18%) without cheating. It didn't matter since I have only 1 law slot. Built another Explorer and sent it to Mira for the curiosities.
Turn 22: finished researching Aurigan Shielding (curiosity 2, free movement, Savannah), Eukaryoptic Sap (approval, Snow), Plasma Metallurgy (Industry, Hyperium), Planetary landscaping (Food), Ex-Atmospheric Filtration (approval on luxury, +1 Industry & +1 Hyperium, Ash), and Galactic Commodities Exchange (+1 Strategic resource, Marketplace), so I chose 30 Titanium as my level 2 modernization (+40 industry, +40 food). Applied Cryogenics (Hunter ship hull) and Universal Conscription (for manpower) will finish in about 11 turns and then I'll start building Hunters. I finished the quest for Kal'Tik'Ma and somebody put a pirate mark on Nusakan. It's noteworthy that Mira has a planet with +3 Antimatter.
https://i.imgur.com/Tkwlt9g.jpg - Isso
Tirn 23: found that Altair has a Warm Gas and an Arid with +2 Dustcidious Trees and +2 Adamantian, but the Riftborn attack my Explorer so I retreat. The pirates are using ships with lasers so I'm going to build 2 Explorers with missile weapons, because that's my highest damage module available.
https://i.imgur.com/ds9FFv6.jpg - Dart, an offensive Explorer
Turn 25: Isso got hacked. I discovered that an Ash planet on Hydrus gives +2 Adamantian. As my Explorer is scouting new systems, I am choosing to NOT explore curiosities on planets owned by the Riftborn, since the Riftborn and the Cravers have a higher score than I do. I would explore curiosities only on uninhabited planets or on planets owned by factions that have a much lower score than me.
Turn 26: The Z'Vali give me the best pop bonus and, since I just grew my second Z'Vali pop, I sent it to Hydrus.
Turn 27: got offered a free hero, so I chose the Seeker Horatio because I plan on going to war soon and I always want my admiral to have some kind of speed boost. I assigned him to Hydrus so he gains some levels for 8 turns.
https://i.imgur.com/qxUTdjM.jpg - first hero choice
Turn 29: found the Epistis on Rhea, who control 4 planets with +2 Jadonys and +1 Transvine but are allied with the Riftborn. Bought 1 Titanium so I can afford Level 2 Modernization on Isso.
Turn 32: started building my first Hunter with slug weapons and will finish in 4 turns on Nusakan.
https://i.imgur.com/LA37vLs.jpg - Hunter blueprint
https://i.imgur.com/RKOZfIm.jpg - galaxy turn 32
Turn 33: started building the Endless Research Park on Hydrus, which should finish in 12 turns.
Turn 34: Lumeris and the Riftborn arrive at Isso, at the same time, and fight each other, even though they only have 2 small ships each. They both declare war on me, and I destroy the remaining Lumeris ship with my 4 small ships and my Argosy. I swear, the Lumeris don't usually play this badly. I switch my troops to 100% Armor units.
Turn 35: my Argosy has a free colonization but I don't want to get Mira, since I can't exploit Antimatter yet. Oyera has 3 planets, +2 Jadonyx, and no level 3 curiosities, so it's not worth it. I upgraded the ship for Horatio and assigned him to my war fleet, in case someone attacks me again.
https://i.imgur.com/33wufdI.jpg - Seeker hero ship
Turn 36: Nusakan got hacked and got turned into a Dictatorship. Anarchy will last for 1 turn and the Religious are in power. I'm not going to pass any laws. My hack on Vyrak finished and I chose Support Revolutionaries, in order to spawn 4 small pirate ships and make them choose a detrimental Ground Battle defense. I'd like to hack Ingris, to prevent the Riftborn from getting them, but I don't think there's enough time so I hack the pirates on Arcturus.
Turn 37: pirates destroy Vyrak, I kill the pirates, and colonize all 4 planets that used to be owned by the Lumeris. The Lumeris have a slightly higher score than the UE, in the previous turn and, so far, I've seen 3 systems belonging to the UE so I'm worried that the Lumeris still own a system somewhere. For some reason, the population of Vyrak is still decreasing; not sure if this is a bug. I moved a Z'Vali pop from Nusakan to Isso, which travel by Portal, but I'm not going to spread my custom Lumeris pop to all my systems.
https://i.imgur.com/qAxZpQL.jpg - Vyrak
Turn 39: my Overseer gets moved to Hydrus, so I can finish that wonder.
Turn 40: I found the Lumeris fleet on Spica, which had a hero and 4 Attackers, who were using a mix of missiles and slugs. I won with my Hunter taking most of the damage, but no casualties. I start sieging the pirates.
https://i.imgur.com/YHvivCy.jpg - first battle with my Hunter
Turn 41: Oracle of Science gives me +1 science per pop and -10% tech cost, so I choose the Scientist party and enable Dirty Hands Act. Pirate Lair is destroyed and gives me 15 Adamantian and 900 dust. Lumeris try to colonize Spica, while my fleet is still on it, so their colony will die next turn. I reject their peace offer. I start building Predictive Logistics everywhere (+20 industry per planet).
Turn 42: found another Lumeris system with 4 planets and my 3 Hunters are going towards it.
https://i.imgur.com/2mTi9hS.jpg - galaxy turn 57
Turn 43: I buy the first 2 upgrades for the Armor troops, which cost dust, Titanium, and Hyperium. Endless Research Park is finished.
Turn 44: I blitz the 200 manpower of Bellatrix, who choose Protect System.
Turn 45: finished the quest for Scavanged Ramscoop and I put it on all of my ship blueprints.
Turn 46: captured Bellatrix and refused the forced peace from Lumeris by paying 500 Influence. I get 75 Hyperium for being the first to explore 50% of the galaxy. The hack on the pirates is finished and I get 15 Transvine and 7 Gossamer; I use 3 Transvine to boost the Z'Vali pop and I hack Arcturus again. The population on Vyrak has finally stopped decreasing and I have 3 Lumeris pop. I send my 2 Darts to Justium, in order to slow down their outpost.
https://i.imgur.com/CiWO6As.jpg - Bellatrix
Turn 47: destroyed 3 small Lumeris ships on Xenis and begin siege. I choose 75 Dustcidious Trees and 113 Hyperium as my Level 3 Modernization, and I start building it on Nusakan.
Turn 48: started moving one of my Hunters towards Justium.
Turn 49: captured Xenis and I plan on abandoning this system because it has no resources; I'd rather have Mira than this. My empire approval is 88% and I have 6/5 systems. I got Magnate's Council (unique, +20% Industry on Happy and +20% Industry) because I was the first to get Level 3 Modernization, and I will build it on Hydrus. My 3 Hunters are on Justium.
Turn 50: Hydrus got hacked by pirates. I choose to arrest spies for +10 Influence for 20 turns.
Turn 51: Lumeris shouldn't have any more systems, they have only 450 Dust (not sure if it's enough to buy a colony), and I only have 87 Influence, so I accept their truce for 21 Hyperium. I get a choice between 3 heroes and I pick the Eusocial Overseer; the Counselor had much better science skills, but I want the resource increase. I assign the Eusocial to Nusakan, where I have 2 deposits of +2 Hydromiel. I upgrade my Hunters and hero ship with Scavenged Ramscoop and head to Arcturus.
https://i.imgur.com/housVHN.jpg - second hero choice
Turn 52: I blockade Sophon's colony on Niss.
Turn 53: started invading Arcturus and colonized the Jungle on Spica. The Vaulters are at war with the Cravers and send me an alliance offer for a few resources; I reject it because they're far from me and the Cravers would get an Approval boost if I declared war on them. I'm going to continue ignoring the Riftborn, because their score and their Hunters are very strong, and I'd like to declare war on the Sophons, who are already at war with Horatio. My Hunters are moving to defend the systems in the center of the galaxy. I move one Z'Vali from Isso to Spica.
https://i.imgur.com/Fd6G8h4.jpg - Spica
Turn 54: Lumeris is eliminated. The pirate lair is destroyed and I get 30 Hyperium and 30 Bluecap Mold. Horatio makes an alliance with the Vaulters but I refuse to join it. Intensive Cultivation (Food) is done on Vyrak, and I'm building Intergalactic Supermarket (Dust) on Nusakan, a Hunter and National Museum (Influence) on Isso, and Intergalactic Technology wonder on Hydrus. I start a hack from Bellatrix to Dyl (Sophon home system), which should finish in 12 turns.
Turn 55: my Hunters arrive on Niss, so the Sophon outpost will die in 2 turns. Justium has +2 Eden Incense, +2 Adamantian, and +2 Antimatter on 2 hot planets. Niss has +2 Titanium and +1 Hyperium on 5 planets. But Oiad has +3 Eden Incense, +2 Hyperium, +2 Antimatter, and +5 Adamantian so I'm going to colonize it next, and I don't have to get Mira anymore.
Turn 56: used 5 Transvine to boost Z'Vali. Spica has +1 Hyperium on the Jungle, and +3 Eden Incense and +2 Hydromiel on the Boreal. The Sophons are about the complete their outpost on Oaid, so I move my Hunters there, and kill 2 small pirate ships.
Turn 57: Isso got hacked. Graviton-Shielded Laboratories (+30 Science and +2 Science per pop) is researched and I start building it on Nusakan, Isso, and Vyrak. I upgrade my Argosy, to make it faster, and move it towards Oiad.
Turn 58: colonized the Lava on Nusakan, so I filled it with pops and queued AI Labor after Graviton Labs.
Turn 59: my Hunter is finished on Isso, and I move it to Bellatrix. I queue Research Cities (Science) on Nusakan, Isso, and Vyrak. A pirate mark is placed on Isso, but there are no lairs near me.
Turn 60: unlocked an additional law slot and I get Brains over Bucks (+20% Science, -20% Dust). Denarque University (+10 Approval, +2 FIDSI per pop) is queued on Hydrus after Magnate's Council and Intergalactic Center. I discovered that Isso has +2 Orichalcix, Bellatrix has +2 Quadrinix, Oiad has +3 Orichalcix, and Xenis has +2 Orichalcix and +1 Quadrinix, so I'm researching Cultural Invertics (+2 system limit) in 8 turns, and I don't want to decolonize Xenis anymore, so I queue Level 2 Modernization on it.
Turn 61: Scientists win the election.
Turn 62: Cravers demand Dust and I refuse. Auriga is on a system controlled by the UE, so I make peace with them. I get Geological Vault (+10% Science and +20 Science per strategic) from my quest and I queue it after Intergalactic Center on Hydrus, because it has 3 strategics.
https://i.imgur.com/GZdsFnc.jpg - made peace with UE
Turn 64: Intergalactic Center is finished. My Golden Age ended, so I colonized Oiad for 8 539 Dust, 53 Titanium, and 53 Hyperium.
https://i.imgur.com/12jGwDL.jpg - Oiad
https://i.imgur.com/U4qUExS.jpg - galaxy turn 64 Sophons
https://i.imgur.com/9Ty4wBW.jpg - galaxy turn 64 Horatio
Turn 65: Isso got hacked and has a Dilution Singularity (-25% FIDSI).
Turn 67: big Riftborn fleet arrives at Isso, but I need 3 more turns to finish some military research. I queue a Hunter on Nusakan and on Hydrus.
Turn 68: Riftborn siege Isso but I think I can keep my system as long as I continue drafting.
https://i.imgur.com/9p6lvoJ.jpg - invading Isso
Turn 69: Riftborn offers truce, I refuse, but then he forces truce and I accept, even though I could have payed the 800 Influece. His Hunters do twice the damage compared to mine, and I'm not sure I had enough luxury resources to sell off so I can retrofit my Hunters. The hack on Dyl is finished and I choose Crust Engineering (Industry specialization, Orichalcix) because that's the most expensive tech that I could steal. I start a hack from Oiad to Dyl for 11 turns.
Turn 72: Spica got hacked.
Turn 73: Nusakan got hacked. Denarque University finished on Hydrus.
Turn 74: started building Microwave Pipes (+2 FIDSI per pop) on Nusakan and Vyrak.
Turn 75: Isso got hacked. Sophons are exerting a lot of border friction on Oiad and Xenis, and they might make a diplomatic demand, so I give them a Bureaucratic Imbroglio for 500 Influence because I don't plan on declaring war on them anytime soon.
Turn 76: Bellatrix got hacked.
Turn 77: Hydrus has +3 Benthic Gems.
Turn 78: updated my Hunter blueprint.
https://i.imgur.com/vxA8URh.jpg - upgraded Hunter
Turn 79: the truce with Riftborn ends, but he hasn't moved his fleet from Isso, so I attack it. He had 2 Hunters, 1 Coordinator, and 3 Attackers with no shields and both damage types with a preference for short range. By looking at the battle tactics he previously used, it made sense for him to put most of his ships in the middle or top lane, so I did the same.
https://i.imgur.com/dcXYCN6.jpg - big battle
Turn 80: finished sieging Riftborn's outpost on Justium, and I colonize it for free. Riftborn demands 440 Dust but I refuse at the cost of 35% of my Influence. The hack on Dyl is finished and I change their government to Religious because he only had a few good techs that I wanted, but I could research them in 1 turn anyway. I hack Dyl again. Magnate's Council is finished on Hydrus. Riftborn has an outpost on Altair, but I blockade it with my Hunters so that it dies in 3 turns. I forgot to mention that, a few turns ago, the Sophons made an alliance with the UE so they're both at war with the Riftborn.

Turn 81: Scientists win the election. I choose 30 Benthic Gems, 60 Hydromiel, and 188 Titanium as my Level 4 Modernization (-50% overcolonization penalty, +4 Food per pop, +40 Food, +40 Industry) and add Fabrication License (+4 Industry per pop, +10% Industry) to the queue of various systems.
Turn 82: accepted the Overseer hero, for the Approval and luxury resource boost, amd assigned him on Vyrak. I discovered that Mira has +2 Mercurite. I buy 1 Benthic Gem and start Level 4 Modernization on Nusakan. I move my Hunters on Ingris, declare war on Riftborn, and invade Ingris; I just want to raze some of their systems for now.

https://i.imgur.com/vacAWIo.jpg - invading Ingris
Turn 83: Riftborn attacks my Hunters with a Hunter, Coordinator, and Explorer, but then retreats. He offers a truce and I refuse.
Turn 84: added Pulvis Production (+2 Dust per pop) on various systems. I sold a lot of luxuries in order to afford 4 Overseer heroes.
Turn 85: I accept a demand from Sophons for 2590 Science per turn, for 10 turns, because I don't want to get -30% FIDS on all systems; I also can't declare war on Sophons for 10 turns. My Science production has been reduced by half and I could have avoided this by declaring war on Sophons but I didn't have enough fleets for 2 wars. I upgrade my Armor troops and invade Birius.
Turn 87: all pirate lairs have been destroyed. A Dilation Singularity is placed on Isso. I finished my invasion on Ingris and choose to raze it, since I'm a Dictatorship andd won't get an Approval penalty. I start building Carriers on Hydrus and, since I reached 50 Vaulter pop, I build manpower improvements on various systems. I also build Punctuated Evolution (+4 Science per pop on Fertile, +2 Science per pop on Cold) on many systems.
Turn 88: Riftborn offers truce and I refuse. I move my Hunters towards the pirate fleet.
Turn 90: finished invading Birius, which will be gone in 7 turns. I built a Trade Company on Hydrus and will make the Subsidiary on Xenis, for the Benthic Gems. I declare war on Sophons so I can attack the pirates and his systems.
Turn 91: the hack on Dyl is finished so I take Advanced Game Theory (Lasers that cost Hyperium). I start a hack from Isso to Ghykra (9 turns), because I plan to invade Dyl, and I started building Autonomous Administration (+1 system limit) on Nusakan and Vyrak.
Turn 92: defeated the pirate fleet and got a level 7 Guardian hero, which I assigned on Justium, and I will definitely move him later. I invade Dyl.
https://i.imgur.com/OBmGcja.jpg - invading Dyl
Turn 94: researched Air troops, bought the first 2 upgrades, and split my troops as 50% Armor and 50% Air.
Turn 95: captured Dyl and colonized Niss. I bought a level 4 Seeker hero for my Carrier fleet, which is on Altair, to prevent the Riftborn from expanding.

https://i.imgur.com/R7IGPaa.jpg - Niss

https://i.imgur.com/BfKnbMj.jpg - Carrier blueprint
Turn 96: finished researching Cosmetic Genetics (+1 pop on fertile and sterile). Riftborn force truce and I pay 1.1k Influence to refuse.
Turn 97: I was the first to unlock 40 techs and I get +5 Dust per Science improvement.
Turn 98: Riftborn puts a Dilation Singularity on Isso.
Turn 99: I attacked the Riftborn fleet on Bellatrix, who had 7 Hunters, 2 Coordinators, and 3 Attackers, who had a mix of Missiles and Kinetics, but only the Coordinators, the Attackers, and 1 Hunter had shields. Most Hunters had 4k attack and 1.5k defense, but I only lost 1 Carrier while 2 Carriers were heavily damaged and 1 Carrier still had full health.
https://i.imgur.com/9dCxQyN.jpg - big battle
https://i.imgur.com/FzCkIUW.jpg - galaxy turn 99
I think I'll end it here, since it's obvious I'm going to win. I would like to point out that I made a mistake in choosing to research level 3 cloaking; instead, I should have gotten level 2 anti-cloaking and put it on my hero ships instead of the module that gives +1 fleet movement.
Let me know if this was useful or entertaining, and feel free to nitpick anything that I did. Any questions or comments are welcome.
Edit: I replayed starting from turn 95 and I got 22 systems on turn 115, which is enough for a Conquest victory. I also got level 2 anti-cloaking and I put one module of Kinetic Slugs on my Carriers.
https://i.imgur.com/xUC4470.jpg
By the way, I should have chosen the Turtle battle card instead of Take Trophies. This way, I suffered no losses:
https://i.imgur.com/EwEtqhD.jpg
I would have started researching the Genius of the Endless tech in 4 turns, and then I would need the other 3 endless techs, so the Conquest victory came much sooner than the Science victory. Also, in case anyone is curious, the Vaulters were eliminated by the Cravers on turn 104 and I eliminated the Sophons on turn 114.
Edit again: I removed all mentions of events and quests, except for the quests that I got from minor factions.

I am 27 years old, I make $100,000 a year, I live in Houston, Texas, and I work as an attorney

I am 27 years old as of today! As I wrote this diary, I realized that my life is pretty boring right now. I also didn't get too deep into my work, because attorney, and because it's pretty boring this week.
I wish we could have more in savings right now, but I never came from an enviroment that encouraged responsible savings, nor have I ever had the privilege of having enough to put in savings. Until now. My husband has come from a place of privilege, so he's gotten to see firsthand what it's like to not have it.
Section One: Assets and Debt
Retirement Balance: $6,622.23 in a 401K I get through work. I just started qualifying for the 401K in April of this year. I contribute 10%. My employer does not match anything, unfortunately. I’m not sure how much my husband has in his teacher account. Additionally, I have $1,300 in a Roth IRA I started at my old job which had no benefits. I haven’t contributed to my IRA in a few months because…
Equity if you're a homeowner: We just bought a house at the end of September! We did not intend on buying a house yet, but an offer came up in my hometown that was too good to pass up. We bought the house for $120,000, we put down about $6,500, and the house is estimated to be worth about $180,000 without any repairs (of which it needs many.) We do not intend on living in this house, because I don’t want to live across the street from my parents. Hopefully, repairs will be done before the end of the year and we can start getting renters in. The current plan is to rent it out for a year, and then sell it.
Joint Savings account balance: $1,000.00. See above. We’ll work on replenishing this once repairs are done.
Joint Checking account balance: $11,588.05 in our joint account on the date of publishing, following receipt of my $8,000 bonus last month. We are about to pay $8,000 to fix the foundation in our house, so we have everything in our checking account. Additionally, we’ll have to pay for labor to pull out the rugs, paint, etc. And we need to buy new appliances because the appliances in the house are definitely the original from 1968.
Credit card debt: None. Everything is paid off monthly on both accounts. I think we both individually pay about $2,000 per month on our credit cards. Sometimes less, rarely more. I don't ask him what he buys, and he doesn't ask me either.
Student loan debt: $218,719.16 for my undergrad (about 9K left) and law degree (the rest). I am a first generation college graduate and my parents had nothing to provide me except their love and support. They always told me education was the most important thing, and for that, I am eternally grateful. It’s just another payment, and I wasn’t going to let that stop me from living the life I wanted. For now, I am on an income based repayment plan and hopefully it will be forgiven in 2030.
My husband has no student loan debt, which is great because I have enough for both of us.
Extra: My husband has a trust left behind by his grandpa. He has never touched it, and does not have plans to, until maybe we buy the house we will actually live in.
Section Two: Income
Income Progression:
I got my first job in college because I was a young graduate and never had a high school job. I worked at the university dining hall making 8.50/hour. It was a glamorous year. The following two years, I worked for an attorney in town and decided that I wanted to go to law school. I made 10/hour for about a year and a half, and then 12/hour when I graduated and kept working there until I left for law school.
During law school, I did not work, because it was just not feasible. I had internships in the summers, of which three were paid. One was a federal judge internship, where I was paid a stipend at the end of the time, and they also paid for parking. One was back at the firm I worked at in undergrad, and I got paid a lump sum to be a legal assistant for half a summer. The third was at the city attorney’s office, and they paid $20/hour. I had never gotten paid that much in my life and I was thrilled.
Out of law school, I started working at a plaintiff’s law firm, and I made $55,000 until I passed the bar, at which point, I got a raise to $80,000. I hated being a plaintiff’s lawyer, and got out after six months. After that, I worked at an insurance defense firm, where I made $65,000 for six months as a trial period, and then $80,000 again. That firm environment was not healthy, and I got out after about a year and a half. I was unemployed for about three months and got by on my savings. Then I got the job I have now, where I bill less hours, and make more money. I have been at this job for a little over a year.
Main Job Monthly Take Home:
5,552.04 (me) 3,331.96 (h) after taxes, health insurance (we each pay our own), etc.
Side Gig Monthly Take Home
We both tutor (him math, me English) on the side with a friend who organizes it all. Our profits have increased each month since we started. In August, we made $190, in September we made $593, and in October we made $775. Current November profits are $916 and the month is only halfway done. I anticipate that this number will keep increasing as we get more students. This money is used on house expenses. Maybe after we get renters in, this money will go towards student loans.
Any Other Monthly Income Here
None yet! Hopefully our time as landlords starts soon!
Section Three: Expenses
Rent / Mortgage / HOA fees: $1,900.00 in rent for a two-bedroom, two-bathroom, 1100 sq. ft. apartment, including all water, sewage, valet trash, and pet rent. $1,015.00 for our mortgage while we are repairing and having to pay for it on our own, and no HOA fees. Once we start renting the house out, we will not have double payments.
Renters / home insurance: Renters is $35.23/month. Home insurance was paid for the first year as part of closing. It was $1,200 for the first year.
Retirement contribution: none that wasn’t previously discussed.
Savings contribution: TBD once the house is done. It was previously around 10% of my paycheck and I think my husband contributed the same.
Investment contribution: TBD once the house is done. It was previously $75/month. I also have an acorns account that probably gets about $15-20/month. It currently has about $220 bucks in it, but I have had to withdraw from that account when times were hard.
Debt payments: Currently nothing. Focusing on the house for now.
Donations: I donate $10/month to the ACLU. We also foster kittens through our local shelter.
Electric: $102.39 last month. This bill is starting to go down now that it’s *finally* cooling off
Wifi/Cable/Landline: $50.27/month
Cellphone: $70.66/month for me. My husband is still on his parents’ plan.
Groceries: We spend about $60/week on grocery delivery from Imperfect Foods. Every couple of weeks we’ll go to the grocery store and pick up anything we didn’t get delivered. Those days can range from $40-$100, and it’s only every few weeks.
Gas: Maybe $50/month? My commute is short, and I don’t go to any other places anymore.
Eating in: $40-70/week. We’ll order food once a week. It helps me feel normal and not like my life is a never ending series of cooking and cleaning.
Subscriptions:
Netflix: $14.99. I pay for it for myself and my parents and brother
Hulu: $11.99. Same
Spotify: $14.99. Family plan for me and my husband because he didn’t use spotify beforehand
HBONow. I think it’s $15.00. My husband pays for this
We mooch off of someone for Disney+
Book of the Month: $10.00/month. I love to read, but at a truer level, I love to own books. I will never get through my reading list, but I’ve come to terms with it.
NYTimes: $6.38/month
Winc: $60.00/every other month
Gym membership: $42.22 for the Peloton classes, and $74.78 for the bike itself. I got it for 0% APR and it will be paid off in three years. If it were not for the house, I would have paid this all off already. It’s been a great purchase and I fully recommend it.
Pet expenses: between $80-100/month. The cats are bougie and get fancy food from PetCo. One is also fat, but we’re still working on that. This may increase depending on if we have fosters, which we do right now.
Car payment / insurance: My Rav4 payment is $334/month and car insurance is $90/month. My husband’s car is paid off and I think his dad still pays the car insurance because it’s cheaper that way. (P.S. if anyone has advice on refinancing your car, please share! The thought terrifies me)
Regular therapy: I think my insurance is covering my co-pay right now because I am not paying anything for therapy right now.
Paid hobbies: None. The Peloton is my paid hobby.
I’d like to note that most of my expenses are paid on my credit card and then paid off every month. I may not be able to use those sweet, sweet points yet, but once we are free, I’ll be at an airport as often as possible.
Section 4: Money Attitudes
Was there an expectation for you to attend higher education? Did you participate in any form of higher education? If so, how did you pay for it?
Yes, there was always the expectation that I attend university. My parents both immigrated to the US in their early 20s and did not attend college. They both always told me that education was the most important thing, and the only thing I could take with me. In application, this got a little more complicated because my parents did not know how higher education worked. I had to do all the research regarding college applications, the SAT, scholarships, FAFSA, etc. because they didn’t know how any of it worked. When I applied for FAFSA the first time, my mom had me sit down and read all the fine print to make sure I knew what was happening. However, once I applied to law school, my parents asked why I didn’t just go to law school, and why I had gone to undergrad. It took some explaining for them to realize that I needed a Bachelor’s degree before going to law school. I had to pay for all of it through loans.
Growing up, what kind of conversations did you have around money? Did your parents educate you on finances?
My parents were not great, and still are not great, at finances. I knew my mom spent too much money on the credit cards, and my dad has frequently pulled out of his 401k. My dad told me too many details about the household finances that I did not need to know as a child.
What was your first job and why did you get it?
I got my first real job in college because my parents could not support me.
Did you worry about money growing up?
Constantly. See above for my dad using me as an emotional support daughter.
Do you worry about money now?
In theory yes, because I’ve never known how to not worry about money, but in practice, I recognize that I am living a life my parents could have never dreamed of, and I am not irresponsible with my money. I could stand to be a little more frugal, but I worked hard to enjoy my life now, not later.
At what age did you become financially responsible for yourself and do you have a financial safety net?
I became financially independent at the age of 17, when I got dropped off at my dorm. My parents gave me $200, and that was it. I think they may have bought me groceries once after that.
Section Five: DIARY TIME!
Tuesday 11/10
6:30 a.m.
I asked my husband to wake me up early because the foster kittens needed to go to the vet. Quarantine has wrecked any aspirations I used to have about being a morning person. Now I am bitter and groggy. He kisses me goodbye, and goes off to work.
6:45 a.m.
Okay, I’m up. I feed the foster kittens, feed our cats, and do some chores I will not have time to do later today, mainly dishes and general clean up around the apartment.
7:15 a.m.
I get dressed and make myself breakfast. Two eggs, two vegan bacon slices, and an avocado. I let the kittens out for a while so they can get some energy out.
7:50 a.m.
I’m off to the free vet at the animal shelter. The kittens have had soft stool for a while, but since they are older than the ones I normally get, I hoped they would resolve it on their own. Alas, they did not, and it is time to get it resolved. While driving over there, I make some calls for my volunteer work which I have not had time to make previously. I volunteer with Child Advocates, which is the Houston branch of CASA. Three calls total, and that’s off my plate, finally.
8:30 a.m.
No one has come out to help me at the shelter, so I have to get out to find someone.
9:00 a.m.
Medication obtained, and I need to go back home to administer medication and drop them off.
9:20 a.m.
Kittens medicated, and I’m off to work.
9:30 a.m.
Work! Why they made us come back into the office is beyond me, but at least I get my triple screens.
10:00 a.m.
My husband is a teacher, and I asked for his google classroom link because I just wanted to hear his voice during the day. We’ve both been going through it lately, so the support is appreciated on his end as well. I keep his algebra class on in the background while I work.
11:30 a.m.
My mind starts to wander, and I open ASOS to browse. I buy a dress that I’ve been eyeballing for a few days, and I justify it as a birthday present to myself. I can probably wear it to work.
$89.95
12:45 p.m.
I’ve put off eating long enough. I go downstairs to the cafe and get a salad and some chips. I am participating in a weight loss challenge at work, so I try to eat healthy. I also run into my coworker downstairs and we chat on our way back up. I also FINALLY fill my water bottle today. I’m permanently dehydrated, it’s fine.
$8.96
1:45 p.m.
My husband’s geometry class. I sit in again, and even participate a little bit!
6:00 p.m.
Time to head home. I’m beyond exhausted. And I should still have a long night ahead of me. Instead, I drive around the neighborhood park for Pokémon Go related reasons and it makes me feel better.
6:45 p.m.
Normally on Tuesdays, I spend the whole night logging my billing. I should do it as I go, this I know, but I hate doing it and I don’t want to. So I do it on Tuesdays and usually spend the entire evening doing it. Right now, I would rather sit and cry, but instead, I start making pasta sauce for spaghetti squash.
7:00 p.m.
I turn on Dancing with the Stars and all three kittens fall asleep on me. I am trapped forever now.
8:00 p.m.
Dinner time! Homemade sauce with mushrooms and greens, all on top of spaghetti squash. I make sure to have plenty for leftovers. My husband and I turn on game shows because it feels like a mindless tv night. Billing? Who is she? I will regret this later. Meanwhile, my husband and I talk about how down we’re feeling, and try to make each other feel better. They say the first year of marriage is the hardest, but nobody planned for a global pandemic.
10:00 p.m.
I do a face mask for the first time in forever. My skin went to absolute shit after switching to the mini pill in May, and I finally went to the dermatologist to fix it. It’s been about a month and a half with spironolactone, Epiduo, and sulfur face wash. My skin purged terribly, and I could not stop picking at it. So I do a brightening face mask to help even out the skin tone. My husband records a video for class, and I keep Jeopardy on in the background. RIP Alex Trebek. Around this time I stare at my briefcase some more. This is the first time in eight months I have not done my weekly billing timely and I feel the laptop boring into my soul. However, the exhaustion goes down into my bones. There is no shaking this. I’ve been feeling like this for a while, and my therapist said it was probably depression. She also frequently tells me to do self care, which I am terrible at. With all this in mind, I resolve to be okay with not billing tonight and just exist for the rest of the night.
11:40 p.m.
I start getting ready for bed. Nighttime face routine, brushing teeth, feeding kittens, and putting the food away. I’m exhausted, and I go to bed.
Daily Total: $98.91
Wednesday 11/11
8:00 a.m.
I barely registered when my husband left this morning, and I start to come into consciousness. This is a more normal start time for me. Yes I got eight hours of sleep, but I do not feel any less tired.
8:12 a.m.
My birth control alarm goes off so I have to get up.
8:17 a.m.
I check my work email and see that I missed a call from someone I needed to speak with ASAP. I call him from my cell phone. He doesn’t need to know that my hair is sticking out like a Cynthia doll and that my vision is still blurry. I get things resolved, all is good. Meanwhile, I feed the cat squads and pop some waffles in the toaster. I promptly forget about them and shower quickly. I grab the waffles after showering, taking the rest of my meds, moisturizing, brushing teeth, etc etc. As I’m about to head out the door, I realize I still need to medicate the kittens. I do that quickly, and head out the door.
9:10 a.m.
I’ll be real. I don’t feel bad about leaving for work after 9. My commute is exactly 10 minutes long and they don’t care when I show up, as long as I do the hours. Being a lawyer has plenty of stress and exhaustion, but this part is pretty chill.
9:20 a.m.
Oh look, I’m at the office.
10:00 a.m.
I log in to see my husband, but apparently he left work early because he didn’t feel good. I text him to see if he needs anything.
As I work, I munch on some pomegranate seeds that I cut out my poms last night. Why did I wear white pants today though?
12:30 p.m.
Lunch time! I heat up some spaghetti squash and sauce and go back to my office. All the legal assistants were sitting in the break room and it was too many people for my comfort. To be fair, all the legal assistants sitting together was already too many people for my comfort before the pandemic.
2:30 p.m.
Zoom call with a client for deposition prep. It goes fine, no issues. This is important.
3:30 p.m.
Deposition. First half hour, the client could not get the sound to work, so I just called him on my cell phone and put that up to my computer to work as the sound. We get through half an hour of deposition and then his phone dies. We try to get him back for twenty minutes before we just call it and agree to reset. I am mortified. It’s not my fault, but I’m still the lawyer and we take responsibility for the mistakes. I call my boss and let him know what happened.
5:45 p.m.
After that debacle, I work a little bit longer and then head home to make sure my husband is okay. As I pull into the parking lot, I note there is a food truck downstairs! My husband said he wanted to order food tonight, so maybe we can do this instead so as to not pay for delivery fees.
6:00 p.m.
Tutoring! This student has a test on Lord of the Flies tomorrow, so we go over her test review. I read Lord of the Flies in the eighth grade, so I tried to skim over it before tutoring, but I do have to rely on Sparknotes for some details. I can easily discuss themes with her, and she feels much better.
7:00 p.m.
My husband went downstairs while I tutored and got us dinner on his credit card. He is tutoring a different girl now for math, so I eat half my veggie burger while he works. I lay down on the sofa and read Wow, No Thank You by Samantha Irby for a while.
9:30 p.m.
Time to turn on the Bachelorette. It’s Tayshia’s first episode, and we’re ready for it. My husband is also a little in love with her, and I completely understand. Honestly, same.
Sometime around 11:45, I doze off on the sofa. My husband gets me up and I relocate to the bed without brushing my teeth or moisturizing. It’s one of those nights.
Daily total: $0 from me. I didn’t ask how much the burgers were.
Thursday 11/12
7:30 a.m.
I wake up feeling surprisingly rested. Maybe I’ll do a quick ride on the Peloton!
7:50 a.m.
LOL nope. I fell asleep again. But this time, I resolve to at least do an arm workup for the tricep challenge on peloton. I feed the cat parade first and turn on a 10-minute class. After that, I get dressed, and even put on makeup! Man, I feel like a woman. I balance this out by running out of time to eat breakfast. Oh well.
9:10 a.m.
Work! I left a pear here, so that’s my breakfast.
10:00 a.m.
Joining the algebra class again. They’re learning the formulas for horizontal and vertical lines and I actually remember this! But my office neighbor is here and in a hearing, so I keep the volume down low.
12:10 p.m.
Lunch! More leftover spaghetti squash. It was a huge squash and I’m getting as many meals out of it as I can.
12:39 p.m.
After three and a half days, I finally finish medical record review in one case. Time to move onto medical record review for a different case. There are more records in this one.
2:45 p.m.
I’ve gotten through two hundred more pages, so I go make some matcha. I keep a jar of matcha green tea latte mix from Trader Joe’s at work so I can make that whenever the mood strikes.
3:30 p.m.
Not so embarrassing confession: I still play Pokemon Go. I rarely spend money on it, but I don’t have a remote raid pass, so I put up the ninety-nine cents to get it.
$0.99
6:00 p.m.
I work until 6, at which time I have therapy. I stay at my office for therapy, because I’m too lazy to drive back home beforehand. We talk about the holidays, fears, my parents, and continued burnout. I resolve to talk to my husband about not going to his family’s for Thanksgiving.
7:00 p.m.
Therapy’s done, so I pack up and go home. I leave my work laptop at work because I need to be better about boundaries.
7:30 p.m.
My friend wanted to do a ride together on the Peloton. I let her pick, which was a mistake. She chooses an Alex Toussaint ride and we nearly die. While we ride, I ask my husband to peel sweet potatoes and press tofu. I should have asked him to press tofu earlier, but I didn’t figure out dinner until an hour ago.
8:00 p.m.
I boil the sweet potatoes and start making sauce for the tofu. Sauce is miso, fig jam, peanut butter, soy sauce, and honey. *Chef’s kiss* I also boil some ears of corn. Once I mash the sweet potatoes, I grab a mandarin and juice it. This is the best dinner I’ve made in ages. Baked tofu with miso sauce, sweet potato mash with orange juice, corn, and salad. I’ve peaked. While we eat, my husband and I talk about the holidays. He has students in person again, aside from the online classes, so he can’t realistically isolate anymore. His parents are older, and his brother just had a baby. We know his family really wants to see us, but it’s just not safe. The US just hit 150,000 cases today.
We make the call to my mom first, because we had previously discussed taking my 14-year-old brother. My parents are not very celebratory this year (heyo therapy), so we wanted to make sure he was fed. My mother understands. This was the easy call to make.
Then we make the call to his mom. We express our concerns, and she is much more understanding than I thought she would be. We also mention that Christmas will likely not be possible, but we know this will be a longer conversation to have with her later.
Finally, my husband calls his aunt. That conversation is not as chill. Biggest thing is that she assumed I don’t want children because of my career and that women can be lawyers and have kids. She did not know she was on speaker. I am LIVID.
After all these calls, I finally shower, do my nighttime routine, feed kittens, and get ready for bed.
11:00 p.m.
Bed time. Except that the big cats get all grumpy and are fighting with each other, so they keep us up for a while. UGH
Daily Total: $0.99
Friday, 11/13
8:00 a.m.
Not as rested as yesterday, not as tired as Wednesday. I’ll take it. Same old morning routine: cats, clothes, etc. Today, I remember the veggie breakfast sausages and heat two up to take with me.
9:15 a.m.
Work! I eat my veggie sausages and a plum. If you’re keeping track, that’s four different fruits this week. I also check my bank account! Payday! The foundation guy still hasn’t cashed his check though, which is annoying.
1:20 p.m.
I go heat up my lunch, which should finally finish up the spaghetti squash. As I walk around, I see that there are two other lawyers here and two legal assistants. It’s a ghost town. I’m tempted to leave. I also see that Barack Obama’s new book is about to come out, so I pre-order it.
$29.23
1:45 p.m.
Because of the ghost town status, I leave. I have errands to run and a Friday to enjoy. Regardless, I will still work at home.
2:00 p.m.
I saw a few recipes I want to try this weekend, so I pop over to Whole Foods right by the office and get the ingredients I don’t already have at home. It’s mostly specialty vegetables and fresh spices. I even buy salmon, which I almost never cook.
$78.40
3:00 p.m.
I get home and medicate the kittens, which I did not do before leaving this morning. I put away the groceries, and my husband gets home! Yay! He lays down on the sofa, and I pull out my laptop to finish working for the day.
5:00 p.m.
I finish working for the day and start a load of laundry
6:00 p.m.
I do a ride with my other friend. The theme is weird, but I get a great sweat in.
7:00 p.m.
I use the fancy ingredients to make coconut miso salmon curry and some plain rice. It is AMAZING!! Maybe this is the best dinner I’ve made in a while. Martha Stewart who? Meanwhile, my husband puts on the latest episode of the Mandalorian. I didn’t watch the first season with him, but I’ve enjoyed watching this with him. After that’s done, I finish Wow, No Thank You and start Anxious People.
11:00 p.m.
Bed time! Same old routine. We have a long day ahead of us.
Daily total: $107.63
Saturday 11/14
8:12 a.m.
My birth control alarm will never let me sleep in.
9:30 a.m.
But I do get to sleep a little while longer. However, today is my birthday party/friendsgiving and we have so much cleaning to do. I heat up some tea, and my husband makes us toaster waffles, and we sit for a little while.
To be clear, when I say party, I mean, hanging out with the same few people I’ve seen all of quarantine. There will be eight other people there aside from my husband and I, so there will be a total of 10 people in my apartment. (And five cats). I even considered cancelling this after we had to call the family and tell them we weren’t going to Thanksgiving. But I’m already bummed I don’t get to go to the Texas Renaissance Festival this year, so a small get-together is as good as it gets.
10:00 a.m.
The theme here is powerpoint party, and even though I sent out the information two weeks ago, I have not prepared my powerpoint. I spend three hours prepping my powerpoint. It is informative, it is dark, it is ready.
Well, kind of. About two hours in, I notice my laptop has stopped charging. I JUST GOT THIS CHARGER A MONTH AGO. I have known the end was coming for my laptop soon enough, but I kept trying to hold it off. My laptop is already four years old, and it would not be worth it to replace the battery. I don’t like using my work laptop for personal things, but I don’t have another option, and my husband is still working on his presentation as well, so I grab my work laptop and finish it off. Let’s see if I purchase a new laptop this upcoming week. (Recommendations are always welcome. I currently have a Dell XPS 13 Touch, and I’ll probably just get a new one of those unless a better recommendation comes along).
1:30 p.m.
We start the deep clean. I get busy in the kitchen and my husband cleans the bathroom. Vacuuming, mopping, rug cleaning, etc. and soon, our apartment is spotless.
While we’re cleaning, my mom texts me and confirms the foundation guy picked up his check.
4:30 p.m.
I still need a few more things so I shower quickly and head to Kroger to get the last things I forgot at Whole Foods. I am unfortunately out of time to work out, so that won’t happen today.
4:45 p.m.
Paper plates, cups, tin foil, and more tofu. I’m not trying to do all those dishes tomorrow.
$16.26
5:00 p.m.
I also go to Spec’s to get more alcohol. It’s the only place that has mead, and I’m trying to recreate those Ren Fest vibes as best I can.
$102.90
5:30 p.m.
Time to start cooking. Everyone is bringing a little something, so the weight is not on me to do it all. I am making vegetarian shepherd’s pie, tofu roulade, and roasted cauliflower. I’m very anxious. I’ve never been a fan of hosting parties, and COVID has only confirmed that I prefer being a homebody. Insert cooking montage here.
6:00 p.m.
One of my friends arrives early and helps me finish prepping. The roulade is not going well, which is disappointing.
7:00 p.m.
Everyone has arrived, and we start eating.
Presentations are shown, laughs ensue, and good times are had by all. Powerpoint themes:
12:00-1:00 a.m.ish
I don’t remember exactly when the party ended, but it was a reasonable enough hour. I take my makeup off and go to bed.
Daily total: $119.16
Sunday 11/15
8:12 a.m.
Birth control alarm. UGH. I am hungover and feeling it.
9:00 a.m.
I move to the sofa so I can watch tiktoks without waking up my husband. I will not move from this spot very much all day.
We don’t really eat breakfast today, because we are still full from last night. Around lunchtime, we heat up some more food from last night.
I watch Big Mouth all day because season 4 is coming out in a few weeks. It’s just as weird and uncomfortable as I remember it being.
I also cuddle with kittens all day, and they are SO CUTE. I LOVE THEM.
7:00 p.m. ish
I finally get up to be semi-productive. I load the dishwasher and leave the pots and pans for my husband to wash later. We still ended up using all our utensils, serving spoons, and small plates for cake.
I also start dinner. We actually finished most of the food we had made yesterday at lunch. I make ramen and guss it up with shiitake mushrooms, miso (lots of miso this week), kimchi, and rice cakes. Easy, tasty, satisfying.
Around this time, I go back to my laptop. It is not charging. UGH.
After dinner, and more tv, I finally shower, and finally feel like a normal person. I read for a little while before bed.
11:30 p.m.
What a lazy Sunday. It’s exactly what I needed.
Daily total: $0
Monday 11/16
7:15 a.m.
I’m up and mostly rested.
7:30 a.m.
I get out of bed, and finally do a chore I’ve been putting off all week: repotting my money tree to take back to the office.
After that, it’s the same old morning routine: cats, plants, packing lunch, getting dressed. But today, makeup and breakfast both happen. Who is she????
Additionally, I joined a weight loss pool at work that started a month ago. I weigh myself for the weekly check-in. Despite the feast I had this weekend, I still managed to lose a pound. This is pretty consistent with what I’ve done all month. Overall, four pounds lost. I wish it would go faster, but it’s fine. I’m healthy, I’m active, and I eat well.
9:00 a.m.
Work! My money tree fell over in the car and dirt got all over the ground. Great. And the tree is falling out of its new pot. I awkwardly repot it in my car, and then in my office. Hopefully it’s okay. Otherwise, I have a specific research topic to answer, and a report due tomorrow.
I also bring my personal laptop and hope it will charge here. No such luck. I order a replacement charger AGAIN, but this time it’s free of charge. I also start doing research on how much it’ll take to replace my laptop. I do need it for tutoring, so it’s not like I can put it off much longer. There are Black Friday deals going on already. There’s also a Best Buy nearby, so I’ll go look after work.
11:30 a.m.
I eat a plum and go look at my credit card statement. I usually pay it off every two weeks, to align with paychecks, so I pay off my credit card. I note that there’s a Classpass charge on my card. I saw the email a few weeks ago and forgot to cancel. I cancel my membership, but the $60 charge is already on my card. UGH
$60.00
I also get an email confirming our Imperfect Foods order and the charge that comes with it.
$63.93
1:00 p.m.
I heat up some of the ramen from yesterday. It’s fine. Our work microwave isn’t very good. I eat a mandarin as well.
5:30 p.m.
I am almost finished with the document review in this case, but I ordered some tables for my office plants last week, and they came in over the weekend. I assemble those and arrange my plants. Since it’s my birthday tomorrow, I get to go to the plant store.
6:00 p.m.
I drive on over to Best Buy and check out the Dell selection. They only have Inspirons on display. What a waste of time. I also goofed on the way over here and had to do a big loop on the highway to get here, so I’m extra annoyed. Afterwards, I call my husband and he already knows that I’m going to suggest ordering in. He gets me.
6:40 p.m.
I get home and plop on the sofa. He wants something hearty, but I want the opposite. We find a good compromise and I put the order in.
$40.44
7:45 p.m.
Food is here! He got a BBQ brisket sandwich, and I got a brussel sprout salad. Compromise. We watch the latest Last Week Tonight. John Oliver blows up 2020 and it’s exactly what this year deserves. Trash TV and kitten cuddles for the rest of the night. Too tired to read.
11:00 p.m.
Time for bed. Teeth, face, etc.
Daily total: $164.37
WEEKLY TOTALS
Food + Drink: $310.89
Fun / Entertainment: $30.22 (book and pokemon go)
Home + Health: $0.00
Clothes + Beauty: $89.95
Transport: $0.00
Other: $60.00
GRAND TOTAL: $491.06
REFLECTIONS
Aside from the alcohol and extra party purchases, this was a pretty standard week. I have been doing better about not buying clothes when I’m sad, but I also normally buy used clothing and not a new dress for $90. I am very much a creature of habit, which I did not realize until I wrote it all out. I am excited about our financial future, and although we aren’t putting much into savings right now, I know that’s temporary.

Casino Superlines Review

Casino Superlines is a relatively new online casino, established in 2017. It is owned and operated by Equinox Dynamic N.V., a company registered in Curacao. Equinox Dynamic is also certified by the local gambling authorities to conduct gambling operations and carries a license from the government.
The Superlines brand is one of the main properties of the company and one of their more successful online casinos. Since it was released to the general public, Casino Superlines has only increased in popularity. This is due to the fact that it offers a solid gambling experience and is available to a wide player base. There are hundreds of slots and table games on offer, allowing anyone to have a good time. Moreover, the casino also provides players with worthwhile promotions and supports a large number of payment services, thereby making it easy for anyone to quickly come on board. In this review, we will take a look at the major aspects of Casino Superlines and provide you with our honest feedback.

Casino Superlines Promotions and Bonuses

The Welcome Package Casino Superlines will give you the opportunity to greatly increase your bankroll over the first few deposits. Your first deposit will be matched an amazing 400% up to €1,000. Effectively, you will have five times the deposit amount to play with. When you make your second deposit, the percentage match is humbler than the previous one but still pretty good. The second part of the offer involves a 100% match up to €1,000, while the third bonus is a 200% match up to €1,000. All in all, you can get up to €3,000 in bonus funds and that is absolutely great. Of course, you will need to deposit a minimum of €20 each time to get your bonus.
Additionally, there are certain rules that you have to follow if you want to get the most out of your bonus. For one, there is a wagering requirement that you have to fulfil before you are allowed to withdraw the funds which amounts to 45 times the value of the bonus. For the purposes of the wagering, your maximum bet will be limited to €5.00 at a time and exceeding this cap may result in the invalidation of the bonus. Moreover, the requirement can only be met while playing slots and scratchcards, with table games and other game types being excluded. Additionally, specific slot titles have reduced contributions while others are altogether excluded. As far as withdrawals are concerned, you can only cash in a sum resulting from your bonus that does not exceed 20x the original deposit amount.

Casino Superlines Software Providers

One thing that many gamblers overlook when considering an online casino is where the games of the given casino come from. Software providers are an essential part of the online gambling industry, developing the games that we all love to play. However, there are many such companies out there, each offering specific titles. Casino Superlines has partnered up with some of the most respected software providers in the business and was able to acquire a substantial library of casino games. Among the list of software providers, we find large names such as NetEnt, NextGen Gaming, Betsoft, Play’n GO, 1×2 Games, Amaya, Thunderkick, Elk Studios and others.
Each of these software providers has a history of creating high-quality slots and table games, allowing customers to have a great time gambling on the Internet. Their names alone should speak volumes regarding the quality of their product and with hundreds of games to choose from, you will be able to play to your heart’s content.

Casino Superlines Banking

Managing your bankroll is an important skill for any gambler and you also need to be able to easily move funds between your personal balance and your casino account. At Casino Superlines, you will not be able to use physical cash and as a result, you will be required to utilize one of the many online payment solutions supported by the casino.
These are available in several different forms – credit cards, eWallets, online banking, prepaid solutions and mobile payments. Typically the minimum deposit, regardless of what method you use, begins at €20. The maximum limits, however, will vary depending on the service.
If you choose to make your deposit with a credit card, you will be able to use the three most popular brands out there – Visa, MasterCard and Maestro. Alternatively, you may also opt to use an eWallet service due to their many advantages. In such a case, you will be able to manage your bankroll with Skrill, Neteller, Qiwi Wallet, and Przelewy24. These allow for instant deposits and quick withdrawals, where supported. Moreover, they also allow you to maintain some degree of anonymity on the Internet.
As far as online banking services are concerned, Casino Superlines gives you a lot of options. More specifically, you will have at your disposal UseMyServices, EPS, PostePay, TrustPay, POLi, EasyEFT, Sofort, GiroPay, Interac Online, and Trustly. While these can make instant deposits, you need to consider that many are regional services and may not be available to you. Prepaid solutions are available in the form of ecoPayz and Paysafecard, whereas mobile payments can be made via Zimpler and Siru Mobile. Alternatively, you may also make a deposit in Bitcoin if you are a crypto enthusiast.
Withdrawals are available, though not via all the above-listed services. You will be able to cash in your balance with Neteller, Visa, Skrill, Qiwi Wallet and Bitcoin. If you made a deposit with a service that does not support withdrawals, the casino will be more than happy to send you your money via Bank Transfer. The processing times will vary significantly between the different withdrawal solutions. Credit card withdrawals can take several days to clear, whereas transactions issued to eWallets will process almost instantly once they are sent. The minimum withdrawal starts at €100 and the maximum goes up to €5,000 per month.

Slots

If you are into slots then Casino Superlines certainly has something for you. The majority of the gaming library consists of slot games and there are more than 500 unique titles for you to enjoy. They come in a variety of different forms – video slots, classic slots, with 20 paylines, with 25 paylines, with 40 lines, etc. Regardless of what your preference is, you will find it here without a doubt.
As for the specific titles that you can enjoy, there is a large variety of themes and aesthetics in the slots category. Classic-themed games are always popular with prominent examples including Sevens & Fruits, Fruity Wild, Golden 7 Fruits, and more. Alternatively, you can also have a lot of fun with the animal-themed titles as well. Particularly, Golden Mane, Nuts Commander, Safari Spin, and Birds being among the more interesting. Of course, we also recommend that you try out some of the games with the Asian culture theme, namely Dragon King, Xing Guardian, Dragon Lady, 12 Animals and others.
Slots inspired by mythology are always popular and for good reason. At Casino Superlines, you will be able to play Viking Gods: Thor and Loki, Medusa II, Thunder Zeus, Miss Midas, Zeus the Thunderer II and others. Crime is also a popular theme at Casino Superlines, with notable games like The Slotfather 2, Cosa Nostra, Yakuza, Art of the Heist and others. Of course, these are only a few examples of what awaits you at this online casino. There are hundreds of titles at your disposal and they are only a few clicks away.

Table Games

The table games selection is downright humble when compared to the slots one, yet still, there are some excellent titles awaiting you at Casino Superlines. These come in the form of blackjack, roulette and other table game types.
If roulette is your game of choice, you will have several titles to choose from. These include the classic variations – European and American Roulette – as well as some more interesting ones that put an additional twist on the original roulette formula. The second type can be played in the form of Zero Spin Roulette, Solen Prive Roulette, Micro Roulette, Premium Roulette and more. Regardless of what you choose to play, we are sure that you will have a great time with the available games. The betting limits are quite permissive across the board and you will be able to make good use of your bankroll.
Insofar as blackjack is concerned, there are a handful of variations that you can try your luck on. These are available in the form of American Blackjack, VIP Blackjack, and Classic Blackjack. The more intricate variations come in the form of Blackjack Switch, which allows you to exchange cards between two hands, and Blackjack Surrender where you can easily forfeit your hand and reclaim some of your original stake should things take a turn for the worst. Much like the roulette titles, the available blackjack games are also suitable for both high rollers and casual players on account of the wide betting limits.
Of course, you should also not ignore the casino poker offerings either. While not the most popular game type, casino poker can certainly deliver an excellent gambling experience. At Casino Superlines, you will have the opportunity to several variations of casino poker, namely, Caribbean Poker, Casino Hold’em Poker and Poker Three. If casino poker is not to your liking, then you can also consider Baccarat, Baccarat 777 or Keno.

Progressive Jackpots

If you are looking to one large lump sum all at once, then the only game type that can meet this expectation is the progressive jackpot genre. Featuring large prize pools, these games give you the opportunity to win a small fortune if your luck is good enough. They typically come in the form of slots and this is also the case at Casino Superlines. You will be able to try your luck on some highly entertaining games, such as Dark Harbour Jackpot, Magic Destiny, Fear the Zombies, The Giant, Lagertha, Sunset and more. Even if you do not win the jackpot during your first session, you can be sure that you will have a great time simply spinning the reels.

Live Casino

When it comes to online casino gaming you will rarely find a better experience than in the Live Casino section. Live dealer titles represent the best that the industry has to offer and each game allows you to experience a different classic game type. At Casino Superlines, you have the opportunity to try out some live dealer titles, hosted by professional dealers and offering the genuine land-based casino experience. More specifically, you will be able to play Baccarat, Casino Hold’em, European Roulette, and Blackjack. Usually, live dealer games have slightly higher minimums than the typical virtual title, however, this should not prevent casual players from participating in the fun.

Casino Superlines Licensing and Regulations

Licensing is a major factor when it comes to choosing an online gambling website. There are only a few ways to determine the legitimacy of a given online casino and you want to make sure that any website you frequent is a legal and trustworthy operation. To this end, you wish to avoid casinos without licensing or from institutions with a bad reputation. Fortunately, Casino Superlines does not fall in either of those categories. The operator behind this casino is licensed by the Government of Curacao, one of the major regulators of online gambling websites outside of Europe. As a result of this, you can be sure that you will have a fair betting experience. In order to acquire this license, Casino Superlines has had to undergo strict audits of the RNG systems to make sure that everything is above board and that the results from games are truly random. With this in mind, you can be sure that when you play at Superlines you will be treated fairly and any winning or losing streak will be solely the product of chance.

Something that you should take seriously is the customer support available at the casino. Depending on how long you play, there will come a time that you may need to contact customer service to resolve something or to simply ask a question. In such a scenario, you want to make sure that there will be someone on the other side who will take you seriously and provide genuine help.

Finally, if neither of those methods is suitable for you, consider contacting the casino by email.
